Fr. Patrick R. Schultz is a priest for the Diocese of Cleveland. Fr. Patrick began his assignment as parochial vicar at Communion of Saints Parish in Cleveland Heights in June 2016, and has been the parochial vicar at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Wadsworth since 2020.
Fr. Patrick grew up at St. Mary’s Church in Hudson, and it was there that he first encountered the Lord and fell in love with the Church. After graduating Hudson High School in 2007, Fr. Patrick attended the University of Dayton for one year, then entered Borromeo Seminary and John Carroll University in the Fall of 2008 where he earned a degree in philosophy and Catholic studies in 2011. He earned his M.A. and M.Div. from St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in 2016 where he wrote and defended his master’s thesis: “Viri Dignitatem: On the Vocation and Dignity of Men.”
He speaks regularly at youth and young adult retreats and events, with a special interest in promoting Pope St. John Paul II’s teaching on the theology of the body, as well as themes in apologetics and spirituality. As a parochial vicar, one of his greatest joys is journeying with couples as they prepare for marriage.
